Abstract
In October 2008 West Virginia University Division of Theatre and Dance presented Christopher Cartmill‟s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre in Morgantown, WV. This thesis details the scenic design process including script analysis, research, planning, construction and an analysis of the final design. A series of models and discussions took the first impressions of the script to the final version which incorporated some of the initial concepts but left others behind for better or for worse.
