Abstract
This Thesis is a collection of nine short stories that explores family dynamics and the relationship of an individual within a larger community. The stories of this collection explores the rural landscape of the American south from a decaying movie theatre, to a young girl trying to solve her uncle's murder, and a woman who tries to shed her violent past.
