With support from the Appalachian Regional Commission, the West Virginia University Regional Research Institute conducted shift-share analyses (SSA) for the Appalachian Region and for all of its counties, micropolitan, and metropolitan areas using 2005 – 2018 as the period of analysis. The results are reported in the files in this section of the Repository. Readers will want to begin with the overview document: Shift-Share Analysis:Appalachian Counties . State-specific and MSA reports are found in the supplemental documents.
