Description
Drawings of plants decorate one of the most puzzling artifacts from the Middle Ages. The "Voynich Manuscript" is a 15th-century book that is much like an herbal in appearance, but the language and even script of the text remains unknown, and the plants are unidentified, strange and otherworldly. Repeated attempts to decode the text have been unsuccessful. What -- if any -- botanic life inspired this creation? Is this an attempt to represent the language of plants?
