Description
“My current body of work focuses on vulnerability within the human figure and emphasizes certain detailed areas within the figure. Other areas are blurred out and abstracted to evoke an uncertainty within the surrounding space. I intend for these works to communicate a relationship between the subject of the body and the body’s surrounding space. My paintings often come from a place of intimacy, in which I photograph affection, either among people or of oneself. Remembering specific details of these quick moments that I capture is difficult; however, the intimacy and affection in my memories will remain soft and enduring.”
