Location
Gauley River National Recreation Area. Ca. 0.1 of an air km S from the mouth of Peters Creek above the Gauley River, gorge left. Near the downstream end of Koontz Bend Tunnel. Habitat: Successional forest growing on an old, man made bench, crossing a steep NW facing midslope. Associated species: Tsuga canadensis, Pinus virginiana, Claytonia virginica, Robinia pseudoacacia, and Liriodendron tulipifera
