Abstract
Faculty report greater anxiety about teaching politically charged, or culturally diverse content. Students either go silent (avoidance) or become certain (proselytizing). My aim: teach critical questioning and theory de-and-re-construction, so that covering controversial content becomes an opportunity to promote critical thinking.
