Abstract
Since 1981, 19 international conferences on ground control in mining and 3 workshops on surface subsidence have been held. The conferences and workshops covered all major topics in coal mine ground control. 867 papers have been published in the conferences and the workshops, which have become one of the main references for the people working in ground control. Since so many papers has been published and more papers will be available with the conference taking place annually in the future, a fast, handy and convenient tool for searching the papers of the conference proceedings is strongly needed. Toward this goal, a special computer software ICGCMabs was developed. A database storing the information of the conference has been built. A window-based user interface has been developed, which provides user with different search methods. A software package including the database and the user interface is compiled and ready to be distributed via CD-ROM.
