Abstract
This document is an account of the design process for the West Virginia University Department of Theatre and Dance’s production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. It is written in partial fulfillment of a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theatre. This document will describe the process of the creation of the scenic design, the construction, and the work that culminated in the production.
