Abstract
I like those of us who are at least a little, if not very, unlikable. This collection of poems and essays is a transcorporeal dive into the less than desirable. It encounters a multitude of species, identities, vocations, and dark-side-hustles. Although the speaker is not a singular speaker throughout the entirety of the collection, you can always imagine her with a bewildered furrow in her expertly arched brow, holding a map upside down and wondering how we got here. The ultimate goal of this work is to engage with the subject matter as though it were a beam of light encountering an obstacle or aperture, to observe what unseen patterns emerge.
