Abstract
The poems in this collection range in style, form, and content. Ultimately, though, they aim to make sense of what it means to be alive right now, especially as a young woman in the United States. The poems are funny, tender, and draw from various out-in-the-world noticings, ranging from The Simpsons to the Bible. In spite of their sarcasm and anger, the poems and their speaker ultimately end in a hopeful place.
