Abstract
The following collection of poems enlists bonnethead sharks, a Zamboni, kelpies, parasitic copepods, Magic: The Gathering, 4 wheelers, horseshoe crabs, trolls, serpents, tractors, a stray Greek god or two, and tearaway pants to finish whatever the day’s work may be. The preface details some of the author’s influences, which include the Black Arts and Beat movements, ancient Irish druidics, poets Frank Stanford and Kaveh Akbar, and others. Most of the poems are written in free verse, with some stray sonnets and adonics. The only recurring form is the rosc or roscaid, which the preface elaborates upon. The poems are organized across four sections, denoted by roman numerals and quotes from other textual influences. This manuscript is written in English, and contains a preface, table of contents, and thirty three poems. Front to back, it takes roughly an hour to read.
