Abstract
Can’t You Hear Me Knocking is a collection of eleven short stories and flash fiction pieces that explore themes of communion through art and language, landscape, self-actualization, and climate concerns. These stories grapple with persons displaced or misunderstood and seeking connection. “Up, Up, Up” and “Waterbird” were previously published in online literary journals.
