Abstract
Red Like A Clown is a collection of poems revolving around ineptitude, humor, loss, and longing. It is intended as an introspection of individual concerns on personal shortcomings, and the struggles of navigating those feelings while being obligated to a world that requires help and participation. While trying to fit comfortably into a timeline of poetry, the work also takes substantial influence from music, film, and conversational dialogue. Landscape and still-life also feature prominently in the collection, attempting to ask "what are all the elements in each picture trying to say?"
