Abstract
Strike Anywhere is a collection of fourteen creative nonfiction essays, spanning twelve years in the author's life, ”from adolescence to Saunders's late-twenties. These essays span several locations: Wadsworth, Ohio; Athens, Ohio; and Morgantown, West Virginia. Strike Anywhere tackles such varied subject matter as sexual violence and gender inequality, romance, friendship, natural history, regional history, and true crime. Flash essays, braided essays, and more account for this non-chronological account of one writer's coming-of-age.
