Abstract
This is a collection of lyrical poems that nearly always have a small narrative. The poems are grounded in a specific landscape usually that of the prairie of Nebraska or the mountains of West Virginia. The speaker's awe of the world is shown through the ugly and the beautiful and how those two can often be blurred. Emotional clarity is important.
