Abstract
Sufficient Grace is a collection of poems written from 1998 to April, 2005. These poems were composed during various stages of my educational development as a poet, and revised in the present. They examine themes of love, religion, interpersonal relationships, and mostly the individual attempting to understand himself through his surroundings. In this regard, many are poems of place; however, I think it would be more accurate to consider this collection poems of connection. I am very interested in understanding how things in life connect, and Sufficient Grace is an attempt to see if events, emotions, lovers, children, work, religion, art, all can be read to somehow represent a discernible pattern in life: a rhythm. The poems in this collection are also narrative and confessional.
