Abstract
This thesis details the fictional story of three teenagers living in New Orleans, Louisiana. Each plagued by their own traumas, Sadie Mae, Mary, and Abram learn to depend on one another to find the path to a more hopeful future. Part coming-of-age story and part philosophical examination of faith and the faithful, this novel attempts to observe and comment on the human experience of suffering and grief, as told through the eyes of three young protagonists.
