Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate eight selected personality traits of school baord negotiation team members and teacher negotiation team members to find those characteristics which indicate a significant difference in the action of those teams that have experienced a strike and those team6s who have not experienced a strike. Possession of the knowledge that certain personality traits either influence or do not influence the probability of conflict lead6ing to a strike would greatly aid the respective organizations in the formulation of their negotiation team. With the variety of factors which influence the strike probability, even a single variable modification may decrease or increase the chance of a strike.
